Thee Oh Sees
Hometown: San Francisco, California
The latest (and possibly greatest) incarnation of John Dwyer, Thee Oh Sees began as an outlet for Dwyer’s instrumentals. Combined with the soprano voice of Brigid Dawson, Petey Dammit on bass and Mike Shoun on drums, Dwyer’s found a serious project. The pop-folk psychedelic sound is lighter than much of Dwyer’s work but the band members each bring their own talents to the table in the latest material. Their catalog includes Sucks Blood (2007) released via their own Castleface Records, The Master’s Bedroom Is Worth Spending a Night In (Tornlab, 2008) and Help (In The Red Records, 2009)
