Created by electronic musician and multimedia artist Jonathan Warren Bechtolt (Jona Bechtolt), YACHT is now joined full-time by Claire Evans. Yacht is truly a genre and media spanning life project for Bechtolt, with a focus on the constantly changing elements of the live YACHT show. Bechtolt hails from Portland where he perfected his own beat-heavy laptop wizardry at a young age. Evans is a science writer, artist, and immigrant from Los Angeles whose vocals are often featured on YACHT recordings. See Mystery Lights (DFA, 2009) is their album together.
